FUNDED PLACES AVAILABLE AT NURSERY

Please find below details of how we deliver our funded hours.

Term Time Only Funded Children

2 years and 3 year old children eligible for 15 hours of funding Term Time Only - 38 weeks of the year - 570 hours

15 hours can be used in the following ways:-

  • 3 mornings or 3 afternoons per week (or a mixture of mornings and afternoons) - Times of access: 8am to 1.00pm
  • 2 day per week - Times of access: 9am to 4.30pm

Any additional sessions/days taken over and above the 15 hours of funding as described above, will incur additional fees.

 

Children aged 9 months plus eligible for 30 hours - 38 weeks of the year - 1140 hours per year

30 hours can be used in the following ways:-

30 hours over 3 days - Access between 7.30am to 5.30pm or 8.00am to 6.00pm - Up to 10 hours per day 

Any additional sessions/days taken over and above the 15 hours of funding will incur additional fees.

 

Families who want to use their funding 'stretched' all year - 1140 hours per year

Children aged 9 months plus eligible for 30 hours.  The nursery stretches the fees over the year, dependent on the number of days, parents will pay additional fees for the non-funded hours.  

 

What does the funding cover/not cover

What's Covered (the Hours):

  • Universal Funding: All 3 and 4-year-olds get 15 hours per week.
  • 30 Hours for Working Parents or single working parent: Working parents of 3 and 4-year-olds (and from September 2025, 9-month-olds onwards) may get 30 hours.
  • For 2-Year-Olds: Some 2-year-olds from low-income families or with special needs get 15 hours.
  • Duration: These hours are usually for 38 weeks a year (term-time), but can sometimes be spread out. 
What's NOT Covered (Extras):
  • Meals & Snacks: You usually pay for these, or provide your own.
  • Consumables: Nappies, wipes, sun cream.
  • Trips & Activities: Extra costs for outings or special tuition.
  • Extra Hours: Any hours beyond the funded allocation.
